Kate, Youth Hub Coordinator

As a Youth Hub Coordinator, I manage the day-to-day running of the Youth Hub as well as the Youth Engagement Workers and Early Intervention and Prevention Practitioners. I also coordinate the Team around the School (TAS) meetings in the central area. I’m passionate about working with young people as I’m driven by the chance to make a positive difference and support the team to do so—helping young people build confidence, resilience, and the life skills they need to thrive both now and in the future.

Sharron and Steven, Early Intervention and Prevention (EIP) Practitioners

We are EIP Practitioners, which means we work with families to offer support before things reach a crisis point. Our role is all about building trust, listening without judgment, and helping parents feel safe enough to open up about what’s going on at home or at school. Ultimately, our goal is to help families access the right support early on, and that starts with a compassionate conversation. We both have over 20 years experience and have always wanted to help and support families. Supporting families and young people can make a lasting impact on communities and future generations. We hope our work at the Youth Hub is part of this impact.

Danielle, Matilda and Robyn, Youth Engagement Workers

We work one-to-one with young people aged from 11 to 25 years on various aspects of life. This can include wellbeing, managing emotions, sleep and routines, healthy friendships/relationships, finding employment or applying for education, or getting into positive activities. Every day brings something different, whether it’s supporting someone through a tough time, celebrating their achievements, or simply being a trusted adult they can talk to. Seeing their confidence grow, watching them take steps toward their goals, and knowing we’ve played a small part in that, it’s incredibly rewarding.

Ioana, Youth Engagement Support Worker

In my role, I am so grateful to be able to support young people through both one-to-one sessions and group activities. My passion for working with young people began in my teenage years through volunteering with orphaned children. It was an unforgettable experience that sparked a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by offering genuine support and encouragement. I aim to provide a safe space where young people feel seen, heard, and understood.
