Winter Heroes

The winter months bring with them a range of health issues. The weather is colder, the days are shorter, and there is also a higher chance you may catch a cold, or other winter bug.

Many families will also have the added worry of increasing bills and keeping houses warm.

Wakefield Council have put together a guide on how to be a Winter Hero and champion the health of your family, including how to manage COVID-19, flu and other respiratory infections; how to keep your home warm; and how to look after your mental health.
