Robin Ranger needs your help! The Planet Punishers are hiding across Fitzwilliam, Havercroft, Hemsworth and Ryhill and they’re up to no good! Follow the trail, find the special bird boxes, and unlock the secret clues inside.
Each clue helps you crack the code and track down the Planet Punishers one by one. It’s fun, free and full of adventure, every step you take helps Robin save the planet! Are you ready to become a planet saving code breaker?
📍Trail maps can be picked up from local venues across the area, including Rycroft Cand LC, Solid Rock Church, Havercroft Family Hub, Havercroft Community Centre, Hemsworth Library, Fitzwilliam Red Roof, and the Fitzwilliam Centre.
🌟NEW🌟 Featherstone Dragon Hunt
📍Help find Dottie’s dragon friends across Featherstone
Dottie the dragon needs your help! All her dragon friends have got lost in Featherstone!
Grab a map and keep your eyes peeled as you wander around Featherstone searching for the special birdboxes with Dottie’s friends on them!
The map shows plenty to see and do along the way, flip it over for fun activities to keep little ones engaged!
Pop into to Oakhill Family Hub, Featherstone Library or Featherstone Sports Complex to grab your map and begin your adventure!
Room on the Broom Adventure Trail
📍Anglers Country Park, Haw Park Lane, Wakefield WF4 2EE
The Room on the Broom Adventure Trail is a magical experience for all the family! With new statues and lots of activity to keep you entertained along the way, this is something you do not want to miss out on.
Find footsteps, activities and key scenes from one of your favourite stories as some familiar characters lead you on your way. Why not add a little extra fun into your adventure by grabbing a Room on the Broom trail activity pack from the Visitor Centre which is open 10am-4pm every day. Packs can be purchased for £2.
The trail is a circular route around the lake and is accessible by foot, cycle, buggy or wheelchair.
Gnome Roam at Newmillerdam
📍Newmillerdam Country Park, Barnsley Road, Wakefield WF2 6QP
Have you ever wondered what Gnomes do and don’t like? Take your little ones on the Gnome Roam through Newmillerdam!
This simple walking trail encourages children to use signs and clues to spot carved statues of gnomes and wildlife. And you may even spot a gigantic bear!!!!
*The statues are due to be replaced this year. Follow Wakefield Wellbeing Facebook for updates on the trails improvements.
Blown Away at Pugneys
📍Pugneys Country Park, Asdale Road, Wakefield WF2 7EQ
Pugneys Country Park is ready to blow you away, with our improved adventure trail. Windy The Dog is a cheeky little scamp!! (or dog). First grab your Windy The Dog Map from reception which is open 9am while 4pm every day.
Read the story, complete the activities and see if you can find all 5 sculptures of him as you walk around. What cheeky things has he been up to? Start at grandma’s car and explore all the fun activities along the way, we can’t wait to hear what music you will make.
Take in the view of Sandal Castle from the boat, or use your imagination to play pirate games. Turn over the map to continue your day and find out what else you can do at Pugneys.
