
Domestic Abuse Training

This course will provide an overview of domestic abuse and the impact on children as well as outlining the change in legislation that is soon to come into force and how this will have an impact upon the work, advice and support practitioners provide to families and victims of domestic abuse. The course will also provide participants with different interventions and strategies that can be used with Children & Young People.
Course Description:
- Be able to identify signs of domestic abuse and understand the impact upon children
- Gain knowledge, skills, and tools for appropriate interventions regarding domestic abuse and direct work with children and young people
- To gain confidence when dealing with domestic abuse cases and how to appropriately intervene
- Understanding the lived experience of children and young people living with domestic abuse
