The Imagination Library was set up by Dolly Parton and came to the United Kingdom in 2007 to help give the gift of reading to children everywhere. It is an amazing initiative that gives children a free, high-quality book from a range of different authors each month.
Who can receive a book?
The initiative is available to families in Knottingley, Pontefract, Castleford Central, Ferry Fryston and Airedale. Children are eligible to be registered up until their 2nd birthday but once they are part of the scheme, they will receive a free book every month up until they are four years old.
All books in the Imagination Library are high quality and age appropriate, having been carefully selected by a panel of experts in early childhood literacy and reading.
How do I register my child?
