The Children and Young People’s Plan 2022 – 2025, was co-produced in 2021.

Children and young people from across the district were involved in giving their views, through attendance at the Build Our Futures Summits, group work, detached youth work provision and education settings.   These included representation from young carers, LGBTQIA+ community, children, and young people with SEND, and those with care experience.  The Year in Review showcases achievements from across the partnership against the 5 priorities identified by children and young people within the Children and Young People’s Plan 2022 – 2025.

Wakefield Families Together has a joint vision for Wakefield, one where children and young people tell us they are happy, healthy, and safe, and are thriving in communities where families and services work together to help them achieve their potential and dreams.

The values and principles that underpin this will ensure we realise this vision:

The building blocks to deliver on this vision are outlined in our ‘plan on a page’. This is used as a focus for our work to improve outcomes for children, young people, families, and communities.
